*The Cleopatra sock is worked toe-up in Egyptian Midnight
and Burnished Gold. It features a twining asp, a full
Pharaonic headdress, and a gold and lapis collar, as well as
optional papyrus details on toe and heel.
*The asp can be worked to twine either clockwise or
counter-clockwise; the pattern also offers a short-tailed
option suitable for wear with tight/closed shoes.
*The short-row heel is built with a pseudo-gusset for added
ease; the (optional) papyrus is worked in stranded intarsia.
*Both cobra heads (that of the twining asp and the
projecting one on the headdress) have red beaded eyes. The
detachable necklace is made up of lapis chips and gold
beads, with a picture-jasper scarab pendant.
